The trail start through a decent though a Takamaka forest at this point you get a brief view upward towards the summit of Copolia and eastward towards Ste Anne Island and the east coast of Mahe. There is a further decent as you walk around the head of a small valley. A small river can usually be heard where it emerges from rocks beneath the path.
Then the path begins its steep ascent towards Copolia and it is advisable to take this section slowly. At the head of this valley the path continues to wind upwards to the left and becomes a little more adventurous with roots and boulders to negotiate as there is a short but steep final rocky ascent onto the top of Copolia.
From the peak you will have an amazing 360 degree view of Victoria. The sight of the northern part of the island is splendid, with a beautiful view of the inner island. You will also get to look down onto the capital and to the east part of the island.
Small snacks, mineral water & juice.
