The trail is basically a continuous climb from a high starting point in the Seychelles National Park, to the top of a prominent mountain in the west of Mahe,characterize by cloud forest but affording splendid views on a good day.
The trail passes through the tea plantation as you ascend you has partial view of the surrounding hills and the west coast. At this point low attitude forest provides some shades and a few endemic plants are visible. Also present are jack fruit with their strong smell and tall cinnamon trees competes with endemic plants. The path then follows a geological feature known as dyke, where molten lava has found their way through cracks in the granite crust.
As altitude increases the forest become moist and mosses can be seen covering the surrounding rocks and tree trunks. Near the final approach to the summit the terrain becomes more rugged, the forest more stunted and the undergrowth more luxuriant.
From the peak you will have an amazing 360 degree view of the west coast of Mahe. From the summit at 667 m and you can discover the west coast of Mahe and Morne Seychellois the tallest peak in Seychelles.
